picnik photo editing

Here's an interesting concept. It's a mini PhotoShop actually more like a PhotoShop LE that is web-based. The idea is that if you already have your photos online on Flickr, PicasaWeb or Facebook and need to do some quick editing; mostly color correction, contrast, exposure, etc. you can quickly bring your photos into picnik and edit them there without ever downloading them to your computer. They also have some limited effects; sepia, b&w, vignettes and the like. You wont find any retouch tools here, no cloning, brushes, dodge and burn although those may be in the works. It's still in beta and some of the tabs have "coming soon" on them. It's developed using Flash so it has a nice interface and is easy enough to use. They plan on having a paid subscription for advanced features. It's not going to replace Photoshop but, it will do common image editing needed by novices. check it out.
